Studies have continually shown that plant based diets decrease risks for these diseases, monumentally. Plant based diets are rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants soak up free radicals which can lead to chronic inflammation. Vegan diets also stop the formation of blood vessels that feed cancerous tumors.
